The Face to Face Document

I really get Medicare’s emphasis on Fraud and Abuse but I have to wonder if maybe they didn’t think this face to face thing through prior to implementing it.  If you think you know all there is to know about the face to face document then I invite you to take our little quiz

If you have any face to documents that met all requirements and were still denied, please email me.  I would like a sanitized copy if you don’t mind.

Some Good News for a Change

All of you HealthcareFirst users out there who have Business Intelligence have probably noticed a remarkable improvement in the Episode Master Edits.  I have been helping them for a while now trying to refine, update, improve and add new edits.

Only a small portion are up but look for more.  If you see any errors, please let HealthcareFirst know or you can let me know and I will forward them on.  If you have any great ideas for new edits, let me know.  As Picasso said, Talent borrows, Genius steals which is actually an Oscar Wilde quote serving to prove that Picasso was a genius.  Make me look as good as Picasso and I will help HealthcareFirst give you the tools to get paid and hold on to your money.  How’s that?

I hesitated to take your little quiz because I certainly don’t know everything there is to know about this as you said, not well-conceived nor well implemented fiasco. But, curiosity gets the better of me sometimes, so I’ll take it just for grins and giggles.

    • Oh, please give it your best shot! I am really curious how much everyone knows. For what it is worth, I tend not to look at individual results. I like the pretty graphs of how well everyone combined did. It helps me know more about agencies need.

And if it makes you feel any better, I almost died of confusion while writing it.

Hi. I just took the F2F quiz and looked at the answers. In regard to the hummana denials. Are you hearing this from current clients? We currently have a humana contract and do not currently get a F2F. I e-mailed my boss regarding your Q&A and she asked me to get more info!
    Thanks

    • This is what Medicare says:

      Keywords: face-to-face, Medicare Advantage
Q: Is the face-to-face required for patients in Medicare Advantage plans?
A: No, the face-to-face provision applies only to Medicare fee for service.

what is the answer to the t/f questions about The physician who signs the plan of care must also sign the face to face encounter. (T/F)

If you started this Face to Face adventure believing anything else and you now know better, you have not wasted your time.

    is this true or false?

    Julianne,
I would like to know what my individual answers were and whether they were correct or not. Am I just not going to the right page? I saw the pink and green graphs, but that was the average of all answers. I couldn’t find my particular results.
